17 April 2013
On June 14, the department Cardio-Thoracic Surgery and the Julius Center of the UMC Utrecht, together with the Dutch Association for Thoracic Surgery, organize the symposium "Safety and (heart) surgery."
The unique database of the Dutch Association for Thoracic Surgery is the model for monitoring the safety of surgical interventions in the Netherlands. This symposium will give information about the current state of affairs and other existing quality records, including the Dutch Institute for Clinical Auditing. Leading domestic and foreign speakers will also discuss the organization of such records, the clinical epidemiological analysis of data, reporting to the centers and public accountability.
