GH&TM course recognized with ‘HeelUtrechtU’-award
The Global Health and Tropical Medicine (GH&TM) course, organized by Julius Global Health received the ‘HeelUtrechtU’-award.
The ‘HeelUtrechtU’-award is an initiative from the municipality Utrecht to make activities around the Global Goals in Utrecht visible and pay attention to the Sustainable Development Goals at a local level.
The GH&TM course organizes monthly lectures in the field of Global Health and Tropical Medicine at the UMC Utrecht, for all interested in the field. Every evening a new theme is introduced, all linked to sustainable development goal 3 'to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages'. Examples of topics covered during the first course evenings are 'Health in disaster and humanitarian aid settings', 'Global Surgery', 'Global Women's Health' and 'Essential medicines'. With this course, Julius Global Health aims to raise awareness about SDG3, and reach a wide audience of interested people.
